Not that I’d ever have a go at anyone (!!), but Yorkshire blogger Jamie Harrop has gone to extraordinary lengths to compile 58 motivational songs…….and gotten it wrong!
How he finds the time I don’t know.
But if he spent 2 minutes looking at his list he’d see that Dido should be # 1 – not # 40!!
Thanks Jamie – great stuff….for a Yorkshireman. ;o)

I love how I have clients for everything!
I need to get fit and lose some weight and one of my clients just happens to be an online personal trainer.
Sue has been doing it for years and you won’t believe some of the increase stories and photos of her clients losing weight. Check out the success stories here.
Anyhow, after a pie too many I’ve started getting fit and will be losing weight over the next 10 weeks or so.
Thanks Sue!

Wow!
How quickly does the time go! This year has flown along already.
My wife and I just celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and made a quick trip back to where we spent our wedding night.
Now that’s romance!
My Irish mate Seamus has a wedding band in Northern Ireland and kindly sent me down a CD with the most popular wedding songs on it.
You can hear Seamus and his band on their wedding band site.
Very smooth sound.
Anyway, I have to get back to it. Tons of work to do on Tailored.com.au to finish it off for the launch.
Cheers

I’ve always been a big believer of giving praise where praise is due and Shona and the team at Q-Ride specialists Australian Motorcycle Academy are worth a yell.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been having Q-Ride training with Tony as my main instructor.
These guys give brilliant motorbike training – making you safe on the road with 1-1 training.
I know not a lot of people are looking for motorbike training, but if you are here on the Gold Coast you can’t go past the Q-Ride gurus at AMA.

Summer has hit and the hot weather has motivated me to update this site again.
I’ve been trying out Twitter with some success – check out my feed at www.twitter.com/brendonsinclair.
I’m in the middle of a couple of simple sites – Gold Coast termites and Gold Coast plumbers sites.
I’d highly recommend WordPress for anyone looking for a functional effective site.
You really can’t go wrong.

One of the big advantages of having a blog on our main web design site is that we have the opportunity to write lots of different things.
And that means we have lots of different opportunities to write something that resonates with our reader.
Michelle Gaby has a refrigerated transport on Gold Coast business near our offices and read my blog post about the 8 Business Lessons from the Governor’s Hooker.
Because that article made Michelle sit up and take notice it was enough to have her call us.
You need just one thing to resonate with your target audience enough to generate a lead.
Putting things out in the marketplace – like blog entires, newsletters, AdWords, flyers, direct mail and more – are things we can all do to try and make that all important connection to the prospect.
Are you doing enough?
Regards
Brendon
A mate of mine runs a TV commercial production business and I’ve been thinking of running some TV ads to see if we can generate some additional business.
I’ll let you know how we get on.

In September this year my 15 year old son and I are riding across Australia in what will be the biggest physical challenge we could have set ourselves (aaaaargh!).
That’s 4,500 km in 30 days through some pretty tough country.
We’re riding to support the great work of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Australia.
We’d love any support you can provide and have set up a donation page over at the ride web site: www.perthtoparadise.com.au.
Thanks.

Okay, tip # 1 for web developers.
Get yourself a publicist.
Here’s one I prepared earlier!
This is Chelsea Mclean – Chelsea does mainly book publicity now (she’s in the middle of a year off right at this minute).
Chelsea got us more:
* credibility
* work
* money
than you can poke a stick at.
A publicist gets you thinking differently. You start to see the angles in what you’re doing.
The credibility some decent PR provides you is invaluable.
We had Chelsea on a retainer and our retainer would have been something like $20 in for every $ 1 spent with her.
Find someone young, hungry and who understands tech stuff.

Okay, I always meant for this site to be hard hitting an interesting and give some solid information for web developers looking for hints on marketing their business.
So I’ll be doing that from now on.
